"True leaders are not those who strive to be first, but those who are first to strive and who give their all for the success of the team. True leaders are first to see the need, envision the plan, and empower the team for action. By the strength of the leader's commitment, the power of the team is unleashed."
Management
Jan is our Practice Manager at Northern Animal Clinic. She joined the NAC team in the fall of 2006, bringing with her more than 15 years of experience in the veterinary profession. Jan started her veterinary career as a kennel assistant and has worked her way up through the ranks to managing veterinary practices. Her goals at Northern Animal Clinic are to keep clients happy & exceed their expectations with outstanding client service. Jan is no stranger to hard work and dedication. She’s a very “hands-on” leader and at any given time you might see her wearing scrubs assisting her team with laboratory tests, helping in surgery, client education, or answering the phones. Jan also has a tool box and she knows how to use it! You can find her doing anything from painting walls, hanging pictures, replacing sinks or doing yard work….if it needs done, she’s got the tool for the job. Her infectious laugh and positive, forward thinking attitude is “the glue” that holds the NAC team together!
In Jan’s spare time she loves to be outdoors with her furry family members. Jan has two Golden Retrievers; Murray (A.K.A…The Mur Man) and Ghost, and two cats; Fred and her latest edition that she rescued is Melvin. They are very lucky to be able to call Jan their momma! Jan also enjoys cooking, sewing, hunting & fishing. (She’s got some pretty good hunting stories…just ask her!) She has a passion for outdoor photography and pet photography…inspiration can be found in the smallest of things and she has a knack of finding it. You can see some of her work her on the NAC website and on the walls of the clinic…check it out…she’s amazing!!
