"Always choose the path that moves in the direction of your dreams. Though your journey may be filled with many winding roads, when you are inspired to follow your dreams, you eventually find success, and discover it is less about the destination and more about the manner in which you traveled."
Veterinary Assistants
Justin is one of our versatile Veterinary Assistants. He joined the Northern Animal Clinic team in 2006 as a Kennel Attendant and was then promoted to a Veterinary Assistant position. Justin is loved by our clients and you can always tell when he is with them by the warmth in the client’s voice when they talk to him or about him. Being the only man in the clinic has got to be tough, but he hangs in there and does a great job…he is a wonderful part of the NAC team!
Justin graduated from Delta College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science and is currently attending SVSU, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He will be applying to vet school in the fall and you can be sure that when he graduates vet school he will be an amazing Veterinarian! We wish him all the luck in the world…but we will truly miss him when he’s gone!
Justin was recently married to his long time sweetheart Nicole and they currently live in Kawkawlin. He is the proud Poppa of two dogs: Buster & Meg, two cats: Sushi & Larry and two bearded dragons. In Justin’s spare time he enjoys being outdoors hunting and golfing.

Kathy is one of the Veterinary Assistants at Northern Animal Clinic and has been a part of our team since 2005. You will find Kathy helping out in all areas of the clinic. If it’s in the clinic…she knows where it is and how to fix it! She has completed extended training in Veterinary Dentistry and assists our doctors in performing dental cleanings and assists in surgery.
Kathy graduated from MSU in 2002 with a degree in Zoology. She is married and is momma to two cats: Gizmo & Snickers and a rescue dog named Josephine. Her cats are comical and can keep you laughing, they seem to be very lazy (a cat's prerogative), like to eat & sleep a lot and are afraid of the “dreaded chipmunks.” Now Josephine is another story, she is VERY full of energy and can make everyone smile!
In Kathy’s spare time she likes to stay active. She enjoys camping, getting out on her roller blades, canoeing and hanging out at the beach or the park. She joined a softball team along with a few other team members and she is an awesome ball player!
Kathy also has a “secret identity” that confuses a lot of people when they come into the clinic. It’s finally time to expose her secret…. she’s a TWIN! “Twin Two” to be exact. No…you are not seeing double when you come into Northern Animal Clinic…you’re just getting twice as much great care!

Wendy is one of our Veterinary Assistants here at NAC. You might find her assisting the doctors in the exam rooms, helping out in surgery, taking care of your customer service needs at the reception desk or running around with a clipboard, peeking into cupboards keeping track of our inventory needs. Wendy became a NAC team member in the fall of 2007 and hasn’t looked back since. Her offbeat personality and abilities blend well with the rest of our team and can always seem to make us smile. You’ll know her if you see her….she’s the one snuggling with all the Shih-Tzu’s that come in!
Whether it’s camping, yard work, playing baseball with her son, helping him with his 4-H projects, or joining her friends and family in the woods for a hunting trip… you can usually find her outdoors in her spare time. Wendy does have a secret side that she keeps hidden away from most people...she’s an awesome writer and in the summertime you might catch her out on her deck surrounded by dragonflies with a notebook in her hand.
At home she’s “Mom” to her son Nathan, Smudge (A.K.A…The Foosa) and Zookie (A.K.A…The Cat) Smudge is a sweet little Shih-Tzu that has been at his momma’s side for 13 years so far and they have a special bond that is hard to describe but beautiful to see. Zookie is a special needs kitty that came to be Smudge’s brother not long ago. He spends his time chasing bugs in the windows and sleeping on his momma’s bed. Don’t tell him he only has three legs…because he won’t believe you and then try to prove you wrong!

Twin ONE…I mean Kimberly, joined our team in 2008 as one of
our Kennel Attendants. She has now taken on the roll of Veterinary Assistant. Kimberly is a great team player and is a valuable asset to the
Northern Animal Clinic team! Her laughter and sense of humor can not help but
make you smile. When you bring your pets to NAC for boarding, rest assured that
she will take great care of them, treating each one like it was her very own. NAC was lucky enough to snag Kimberly to fill
a kennel position opening when she moved back to Midland from Texas! When Kimberly is working in the kennel you can
usually find her out in the exercise yard playing ball with or running around
with the pets that are boarding with us. They love their “Auntie Kim!”
Kimberly attended MSU and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Animal Science. In 2007, she married her high school sweetheart Rob and she is called Momma by her two rescue cats; Emma and Bageria. Emma was found in Texas and Bageria was found in Sheilds. Little Bageria seems to have a food addiction…she likes to get in the refrigerator and look around for a snack!
In Kimberly’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, roller blading, bike riding and just being outdoors!
